Le Mas Stone Farmhouse

Le Mas, Stone FarmHouse. Sleeps 8, Private heated pool. Provence, Cote D’Azur, Var, Callian. Charming, cosy spacious stone Farmhouse.

Typically French with a ‘warm oldy worldy’ feel. Private pool, private gardens and still with-in reach of shops, Boulangerie various shops and supermarkets are a short drive from the house. A pleasant 15 min walk cutting through fields and vines, for those of you who are feeling slightly more energetic. Le Mas is situated on the D562, half way between Grasse 22 km and Draguigan 25 kms.

With so much to see and do with-in the surrounding area, time to sit around the private heated pool doesn’t seem possible. But the romance of the Pool lights and Bats flying around the garden at dusk is not to be missed. The swimming pool has a standard alarm as required by the French authorities. The alarm is a safety aid only. It is still the parent’s responsibility to care and supervise children, pets and the like. With the sheltered garden, just sitting round the pool for a short period of time makes you appreciate how refreshing the house is in summer.

There are 3 main bedrooms. Downstairs is almost a separate annex with its own en-suit. Separated from the house with two sets of curtains. This turns into a very private unit or opens the house up when curtains are open.
The main bedroom upstairs has pleasant views over the front garden with the sun beaming in, in the mornings, waking you up with a smile. It has a very convenient shower room with sink, but no toilet. The toilet is located in the main up-stairs bathroom which also has a bath/shower.
The 3rd bedroom has been designed as the children’s bedroom. It has 3 single beds and a 4th pull-out bed. The room is large and accommodates this well. The large window looks over the front garden and 2 side windows look towards Callian.
Separated off this, is another double bedroom, separated by curtains which makes for a perfect hideaway for parents once the children are sleeping.The main windows in all bedrooms are fitted with permanent roller Mosquito blinds. Small windows have removal Mosquito blinds. These allow for that pleasant summers breeze to circulate the house during the summer nights.
The kitchen is almost a Galley type design with electric cooker and microwave, fridge freezer and dish washer. Off the kitchen by the back door is a toilet, perfect for a quick visit when around the pool.
Most of your cooking will be outside in the sun on the 5 burner Gas BBQ. Easy to use and manoeuvre to your dining preference in the garden. Quick to clean.

Winter time : The oak beams throughout the house, and open fire give Le Mas the homely feel. The television becomes an unnecessary extra with the mesmerising flames of the fire!!
There is an electrically operated pellet fire. This can be programmed for fully automatic start-up in the mornings and evenings (which is very simple to do), or set to be on all day if you wish. Pellets are easy to replenish and Le Mas has plenty stored.
